Design & Technology
This is taught from Years six to nine, with the option of taking GCSE Design and Technology: Product Design in Years 10 and 11.
In Years six to nine pupils have the opportunity to work with wood, metal and plastic through the designing and making of models, toys and small products such as key fobs, telephone notepads and clocks. In addition the theory of materials, tools and processes is covered.
Throughout the course Health and Safety concerns together with environmental issues must always be considered.
