Careers

In keeping with the aims of its motto of working towards the future, the school encourages its pupils to think about their life after school.

The school uses Futures to help with careers advice and one of their representatives attends Options and Parents' Evenings. Pupils are taught how to write CV's, complete job applications and in Year 10 they enjoy two weeks of work experience. Pupils also complete mock interviews.

Year 11 pupils are given the dates of Sixth Form open evenings and Head Teachers are encouraged to come into school to talk to prospective students.

All students are helped to find places in schools or colleges which run courses for them and their chosen career.

The small minority of students who choose not to continue further full time education receive all possible guidance and assistance in securing employment.
